Zephyr’s is currently offering a specialist bereavement counselling service for lives that have been touched by pregnancy loss (at any gestation) or the death of a baby or child.
Our counselling service is for bereaved parents, grandparents and older siblings aged 16 years and over and is currently only available for those based in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire. We offer 12 sessions of counselling, giving you the chance to feel held and be heard in whatever you feel ready to talk about.
Held in our warm and welcoming therapy room at Sherwood Community Centre, we are offering up to 12 sessions with a member of our gentle and approachable counselling team. These sessions are suitable for both couples and individuals. Our three counsellors are professional and well-skilled; supporting you as you explore and express your grief and feelings following loss. We provide a non-judgemental, safe and open space that is centred around you.
Our counsellors can also refer you to Zephyr’s other support sessions, and can share details of alternative ways that our charity can support you and other members of your family.
Our therapy room is upstairs on the first floor of the community centre. If you have accessibility needs please let us know when you make your enquiry. We can make arrangements for sessions to take place online, over the phone, or at an alternative location.
Zephyr’s work with 3 qualified bereavement counsellors, Rachael, Kymm and Manisha
Each of our counsellors are experienced in supporting people through child bereavement and baby loss. Manisha is also a Maternity and Neonatal advocate under the MNISA. All of our counsellors have their own professional supervision so they can work mindfully within the boundaries of their professional relationship with you, supporting you with compassion and sensitivity. Our counselling service is highly confidential and operates diligently within the frameworks and guidance for UKCP and BACP registered therapists.
