Kymm Stroud
I am a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) registered counsellor with 18 years’ experience, as well as 26 years working with children and families. I have worked in a variety of settings including Framework supporting adults with mental health issues, Sure Start supporting families, Women’s Aid supporting women experiencing domestic abuse, and Family Care counselling children and young people who have experienced domestic abuse. In addition, I have counselled adults and children with a variety of issues. I have an enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service), renewed regularly.
I have run the Nottingham Miscarriage Support Group for the last 12 years. I started the group after experiencing a number of miscarriages myself, and finding there was no support for women and men in Nottingham. This has led on to an interest in counselling for men and women affected by miscarriage, fertility, and baby loss.
I am one of the first counsellors in the UK to hold the Advanced Specialist Fertility Counselling Diploma and I am a member of the British Infertility Counselling Association (BICA)
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and walking my dog, Bella
