Zephyr’s run a number of therapeutic support sessions for bereaved parents and families in Nottinghamshire. We currently send out an email roughly every 2 weeks, detailing the upcoming support sessions we have available. Zephyr’s In the Evening
Our warm and friendly monthly sessions are a chance to talk and share in a supportive place, gathering with others who understand. There’s time to be together, to have moments of quiet reflection, or to borrow support books from our library.

7.30pm – 9.30pm, first Thursday of every month at By Our Hands, Unit 42 Freckingham St, NG1 1DQ

Hope Group – Pregnancy after loss
A group for those who are trying to conceive, or are pregnant after loss. These monthly sessions are here to welcome you into a supportive and understanding group, led by Zephyr’s volunteers Louise and Natalie and joined by visiting practitioners who offer nurturing and supportive antenatal activities and care.

7pm – 9pm, last Monday of every month at By Our Hands, Unit 42 Freckingham St, NG1 1DQ

Zephyr’s Counselling Service
Our counselling service is for bereaved parents, grandparents and older siblings who’s lives have been touched by pregnancy loss, the death of a baby, or the death of a child. Held in our warm and welcoming therapy room at Sherwood Community Centre, we offer up to 12 sessions with one of our experienced counsellors. Suitable for both couples and individuals

Woodworking for Bereaved Dads
Zephyr’s Dad Martin opens up his workshop for bereaved dads to come and learn woodworking in a creative and supportive space. These evening meet-ups are for small groups, and those attending will learn new skills and make beautiful and useful items. The workshop is a safe and gentle space where sharing conversation and loss experiences are welcomed.

Into the Woods – Forest School with Boots and Brambles
In 2023 we are delighted to have been offered funding by Severn Trent Water to run “Into the Woods”, a new monthly Forest School session open to families who have lost a child. These sessions offer a chance to connect with nature and each other, exploring a beautiful woodland space. Nature-based crafts and activities, with hot drinks and snacks around the warming campfire.

Wellbeing Walks with Green Space Counselling
Zephyr’s Wellbeing Walks are a chance for you to take a gentle journey together with others who have shared experience of loss, and to find support and comfort in nature and in the changing seasons. Led by Alison Broughton of Green Space Counselling and Therapies and set at a slow, no pressure pace, there will be guided conversation and the opportunity to gather at the end with a warm drink.

Monthly 2 hr sessions at Colwick Country Park, Nottingham, NG2 4BH

Yoga for bereaved mums
Yoga sessions for bereaved mums and those bereaved through pregnancy loss or the death of a baby or child. These seasonal yoga gatherings are led by Hannah at Yoga Village Studio. They are a chance to pause for self care, and come together with others who have experienced loss. Yoga, tasty snacks, and a chance to chat, share and reflect. Sessions are hosted every Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter

Support for Healthcare Staff
Zephyr’s provides support, training and resources for healthcare professionals working within family bereavement services in Nottinghamshire. We provide meetings every 2 months to update on our activity, as well as training sessions and an open door approach sharing experiences and conversations.
